According to the information received from the sources, the largest US wireless carrier, Verizon is planning to rollout two new phones in collaboration with Microsoft Corporation. The launch of the new phone is expected to be in May or June this year.

Sharp Corporation will manufacture the phone and the model will carry both the Microsoft and Verizon Wireless brands. Official announcement have yet to come from any of the companies.

According to sources the targeted segment of the phone will be teenagers. Hence there will be lot of trendy features in the mobile phone. The model will allow users to access social networking sites from anywhere.

Experts believe that this move is definitely an indication of tight competition between two major rivals, Microsoft and Google. Google Inc. has introduced its Android Operating System based on Nexus, One phone. Earlier Microsoft has always focused on providing its mobile Windows software to phone makers. It has never tried to launch a phone under its banner. But now the company is eyeing on a new arrival under its belt. So there must be a fight for market share between two contemporary rivals.
