New York, Oct : US President Barack Obama’s wife Michelle Obama has reportedly tweeted for the first time.

The US First Lady posted her first tweet on her Twitter account, complete with a hashtag, a URL and her initials, and the White House commemorated the occasion with a blog post and a YouTube video, the New York Post reported.

“Military families serve our nation too. Let’s all show our appreciation by #JoiningForces with them. Get involved: http://t.co/YryjAhl5 –mo,” she tweeted.

Obama tweeted not from a personal account but rather from @JoiningForces, which is an initiative to support military veterans and their families.
