Whoopi ‘stumps’ Ann Romney with ‘war and religion whodunit’Washington, Oct 19 : Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s wife, Ann, answered some uncomfortable questions about her husband during an interview with an American channel.

Ann, who appeared on ABC News ‘The View’ on Thursday, was earlier going to appear with her husband, after he made less-than-flattering remarks about the show’s hosts.

The interview seemed somewhat tense, but turned especially awkward when co-host Whoopi Goldberg asked Ann to clarify if her husband did not serve in the military for religious reasons.

“Now, I believe that your religion doesn''t allow you to go fight,” Goldberg said.

According to Politico, during the interview with ABC's `The View' she, however, agreed that her husband could bring economic prosperity to America, but they `absolutely' will not do it again if he loses.

Ann Romney, with a 56 percent positive rating, is nine points above her husband, Mitt Romney, who 47 percent of voters see as favorable, Politico reports.
