Washington, Aug 29 : `Flatliners', that featured Julia Roberts and Kiefer Sutherland in its first instalment, is all set for a remake.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Columbia Pictures executives have commissioned `Source Code' screenwriter Ben Ripley to bring the 1990 medical thriller back to life, reports Contactmusic.

The original story centered on a group of medical students experimenting with death, as they investigated myths about the afterlife.

Kevin Bacon also starred in the film that was directed by Joel Schumacher. (ANI)
