Twenty20 world champions Pakistan beaten by England in Dubai Twenty20A record fourth wicket partnership between England batsmen Eoin Morgan and Kevin Pietersen was enough to beat Twenty20 world champions Pakistan by seven wickets here on Friday.

Morgan and Pietersen shared an unbeaten 112-run partnership, chasing a modest target of 130, and dragged England from 18 for three to achieve the target with 1.3 overs to spare.

The Telegraph reports that Morgan hammered 67 not out from 51 balls, while Pietersen scored 43 not out as the duo registered England's biggest ever Twenty20 partnership.

Though Shoaib Malik and Fawad Alam did their best to regroup in a 47-run stand for the fifth wicket, the highlight of which was Fawad's effortless flick off Collingwood to notch up the first six of the match in the 13th over.

Pakistan continued to lose wickets though they tried to accelerate in the closing overs.
