Three Passengers aboard Skywest Airlines Flight fell Unconscious, Forcing Emergency Landing

Three passengers aboard a SkyWest airlines flight travelling to Connecticut went unconscious on Wednesday forcing an emergency landing on Buffalo, New York.

The flight carrying 75 passengers was on its way to Bradley International Airport in Connecticut when it landed in Buffalo on Wednesday before noon.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said that the crew of the Embraer E170 reported a possible pressurization problem on the plane.

A spokesperson for the SkyWest said that all the passengers, including two children were evacuated upon landing and were released after being checked for any medical condition.

The spokesperson said that they came across no such situations under which they need to hospitalize the passengers.

SkyWest Flight 5622 descended rapidly from an altitude of over 28,000 feet to 10,000 feet in a few minutes, a local affiliate of Fox News reported.

It further stated that an investigation into the incident later revealed that there was no problem in the cabin's pressure and also the oxygen masks were also not released, the cabin crew said.

Marissa Snow, SkyWest's spokeswoman, said, "There were no reports before the unconscious passenger prior to the initiated descent, but I can't speak to what may have been the specific cause of their feeling ill".

Snow further said that the maintenance personnel also did not find any faults with the pressurization in the cabin.

According to NBC News, Vanessa Bergmann, a passenger on the plane, said that they all were told to just keep breathing. She further said as soon as they were told to keep breathing, they suddenly went into a nose dive.

That rapid drop was incredibly scary. It felt as if they were diving down uncontrollably, she added. ?
