Bangkok - Thai shares rose 2 per cent in value Wednesday on a region-wide rebound for Asian bourses.

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) index closed at 581.43 points, up 11.58 points or 2.03 per cent.

"This was a technical rebound," said Dejapron Larpudomsuk, an analyst at Asia Plus Securities. "All Asian bourses rebounded today, so SET was just following suit." (dpa)
