Ratan Tata owned Tata Motors posted its results for the month of February. India's largest Auto manufacturer posted good numbers after the good news from abroad where their Jaguar Land Rover acquisition also saw positive numbers for the first time after the acquisition in 2008.

The company recorded the highest-ever sales in the commercial vehicles segment. The largest auto manufacturer sold 69,427 vehicles as compared to 43,811 sold last year. The figures were up by 58%. The domestic sales also were quite phenomenal at 66,190 vehicles up by 56% as compared to last year's 42,493. The exports also rose by a whopping 146% to 3,237 vehicles, making it an almost perfect year for the company.

This was the company's best performance till date in terms of units sold in the commercial vehicles segment. The commercial vehicles sold this year were 39,205 units up by a whopping 67% as compared to 23,493 units in February. The light commercial vehicle segment was also up by 49% at 21,764 units. The medium and heavy commercial vehicle sales grew by 98% to 17,41 units as compared to Feb last year. Nano also had been doing well at about 4000 units as compared to 1000 units last year Jan.
