Super Religare Laboratories (SRL), the largest and most trusted pathology laboratory network in India, has joined hands with US-based Rosetta Genomics for conducting cancer tests based on the latter's technology in India and the Middle East.

According to an official release, three types of tests will be carried out on Rosetta's microRNA based molecular signatures pertain to identifying primary tumor site, lung cancer and cancer connected to asbestos.

The domestic firm claims that the micro RNA based tests of these three types of cancers will help make detection early, and conducting tests speedy with greater certainty.

The move is expected to cut down the time of getting tests results to 48 hours from a few days at present.

Besides India, the pact between the two companies will cover Saudi Arabia, Qatar and UAE.
