Serena William and Venus William of America have won the women's doubles title in the Australian Open after defeating Zimbabwe's Cara Black and America's Liezel Huber in the final on Friday.
The defending champions William sisters defeated the top seeded duo of Cara-Liezel in straight sets by 6-4 6-3 in 86 minutes to win their 11th career Grand Slam crown at the Melbourne Park in Melbourne.
The second seeded Venus-Serena duo was once trailing 3-4 in the first set but they came back strongly to win the set and take 1-0 lead. The second set was just a cake-walk for Venus-Serena as they broke Cara twice to win the set and the match.
This was fourth Australian Open title for this American pair as they had won women's doubles title thrice in Australian Open in 2001, 2003 and 2009.
Venus-Serena have now moved to third place in the list of highest Grand Slam winning women's doubles pair after Martina Navratilova and Pam Shriver (21 Grand Slam titles) and Gigi Fernandez and Natasha Zvereva (14 Grand Slam titles).
