London, March 5 : After being famously banned from the South African World Cup, footballers' girlfriends and wives have now managed to persuade FA bosses to let them stay near their men during Euro 2012.
The WAGs have apparently booked a very expensive hotel to stay while their men play the game.
The glamorous ladies will be staying just 200 yards from the official team base in Krakow, despite a heap of embarrassing antics during the World Cup in Germany, according to the Daily Mail.
In 2006, the WAGs took over the tiny town of Baden Baden, causing embarrassment to the FA with endless partying and spending.
England bosses had given the ladies, including Coleen Rooney, Alex Gerrard and Christine Bleakley, a red card but softened when they realised the boys may perform better with their WAGs by their side.
The WAGs have chosen Hotel Pod Roza, which takes its name from Latin sub rosa, meaning secrecy.
Officials have told the ladies they can't visit the team, who are staying at Hotel Stary, until the day after the game but will be able to make the walk across to the hotel whenever they want because, of course, they have access to the spa facilities.
"The FA have relaxed the rules this time because in South Africa the players complained they were bored stuck out in the middle of nowhere with nothing to do and it didn't help them prepare for the games," a source told the Sunday Mirror.
"It will very different this time. But this could be another headache for the FA," the source added. (ANI)
