Vettel taking forward ‘confidence’ not ‘anger’ from early European GP exit

http://www.topnews.in/sports/files/Sebastian-Vettel_19.jpgLondon, June 28 : Formula one star Sebastian Vettel has refused to panic, and has chosen to be confident rather than angry, following his early exit from the European Grand Prix.

The German ace''s Red Bull conked out after 34 laps in Valencia having suffered alternator failure, leaving him 26 points behind race winner Fernando Alonso in the 2012 drivers'' championship.

However, Vettel said that he is not worried about his Spanish rival becoming the first driver to secure two victories this season.

"We have also improved step-by-step over the weekend so I take confidence back home from the weekend rather than anger," The Sun quoted Vettel, as saying.

"Let''s stay calm and try not to read the future. We''ve seen that it is unpredictable this season. Whether Fernando won, or anybody else, is not what I am thinking about. We have to get our game together and then we should be in good shape," he added.

Vettel remained confident that he could get his campaign back on track, starting with the British Grand Prix in two weeks' time.

"The important thing [in Valencia] is that we saw that we can be really quick. Okay, the result is not what we expected but it was only the eighth race, so things can change every fortnight," he said. (ANI)
