London, Sep 29 - Kenyan long distance runner Dennis Kimetto set up a new marathon world record in Berlin after winning the race in a time of two hours, two minutes and 57 seconds.
Kimetto shook off fellow Kenyan Emmanuel Mutai with just under three miles remaining to become the first man to run a marathon in less than two hours and three minutes. Mutai, who finished second in two hours, three minutes and 13 seconds, also broke the previous record.
London, Sep 24 - After setting 100m and 200m world records, Usain Bolt is now aiming to break the 19 second barrier for 200m.
According to the BBC, the 28-year-old Jamaican set both current world records, 9.58 seconds for 100m and 19.19 seconds for 200m, at the 2009 World Championships .
Bolt said that everybody wants to see the 100m go but the 200m was for him.

Wellington, Sep 16 - Paralympic runner Oscar Pistorius is reportedly free to compete for South Africa again, as long as the double amputee's running does not go against the judge's ruling in his murder trial.
Pistorius, who is due to be sentenced next month after being found guilty in the negligent killing of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, could compete at any time because the South African Olympic committee had no regulations preventing someone with a criminal record from representing the country.
London, Sep 15 - Reeva Steenkamp's brother Adam Steenkamp believes that Oscar Pistorius effectively got away with murder, after the Paralympic runner shot his sister dead last year and was found guilty of culpable homicide.
The judge had ruled that Pistorius has been found guilty of culpable homicide, the equivalent of manslaughter in the UK, after he fatally shot his girlfriend Reeva on Valentine's Day in 2013.
London, Sep 13 - Paralympic runner Oscar Pistorius had reportedly threatened to withdraw from the London 2012 Olympics if his former girlfriend refused to fly over to support him.
Pistorius sent a flurry of calls, emails and texts from London, sometimes reaching 30 a day, to beg his former girlfriend Samantha Taylor to join him. In one message from the Olympic Village, Pistorius even said that he is sorry for being such a 'f*** up'.
The Paralympian fumed, pleaded and sobbed down the phone to Taylor at her home in South Africa, The Mirror reported.
