 Shoaib Malik backs Miandad as Pak batting coach Karachi, May 5 : Former Pakistan skipper Shoaib Malik has suggested cricket legend Javed Miandad as the batting coach of the Pakistan cricket team.

He said that Miandad''s skills would help Pakistan team overcome the poor performance in batting. "I don''t think there is a better cricketer than Javed Miandad to take over as batting coach. He has a great cricket mind and sharp insight into the game", Malik told The Nation.

Miandad was offered the post of batting coach before Pakistan team embarked for West Indies series but he had rejected the offer on personal grounds. Sources say that he is reluctant to work as a deputy to the head coach, Waqar Younis.(ANI)
