Chennai, Oct 28 : For second seeded Manik Dutta (boys under-15) and Anandita Gupta (girls under-15) the script went wrong as both the Madhya Pradesh players lost their semi-final matches in the National sub-junior and junior squash championship here Thursday.
Dutta went down to Abhimanyu Shah of Maharashtra, seeded 3-4, in four games while Gupta lost to Pankhuri Malhotra of Delhi, also in the 3-4 bracket, in three games.
Barring the two upsets, there were no surprises as the top two seeds in each section took their appointed spots in the final although a few of them were stretched.
