Rooney would have loved to spend Christmas in his £5m Barbados pad London, Dec 26 : Wayne Rooney wishes that he was in the Caribbean for Christmas.

The Manchester United forward, who spent training even during the festive time, said that he would like to spend the festive season at his 5 million-pound pad in Barbados very much.

“It’s my favourite holiday destination,” the Sun quoted Rooney as saying.

“I’ve never had the chance to go there over Christmas, with playing football, so when I’ve finished playing that’s definitely somewhere I’d go,” he added.

The English footballer had to settle for an overcast start to Christmas Day at his mansion at Prestbury, Cheshire, where presents were opened before he drove to the club’s training ground at Carrington. (ANI)
