Madrid - Robinho has been sold by Real Madrid to Manchester City, according to the digital versions of Marca and AS on Monday night.
The sports dailies claim that Real have agreed to sell the Brazilian winger to City for 40 million euros (58.71 million dollars), just before the close of the summer transfer window at midnight on Monday.
The deal has still not been officially confirmed by either club.
Robinho appeared poised to join Chelsea - who have been pursuing him all summer - but it seems that Real have preferred to sell to a club which will not be a rival in the Champions League.
Robinho, who joined Real in 2005 from Santos, made it clear on Sunday morning that he was desperate to leave Madrid.
Coach Bernd Schuster did not take him up to La Coruna for Real's opening league game, a 2-1 defeat.
Real have apparently made a last-minute bid for Euro 2008 top scorer David Villa, only to again be turned down by Valencia. (dpa)
