Valencia [Spain], Oct.25 : The Indian junior men's hockey team kicked off their Four-Nations Invitational Tournament on a promising note as they defeated Germany 3-1 in their opening game here on Tuesday.

In the opening encounter, India and Germany started off with a highly intense first-half that saw a lot of attacking intent from both sides.

Madrid [Spain], Oct.19 : Striker Gareth Bale struck his first European goal since 2014 as Real Madrid registered a crushing 5-1 win over Legia Warsaw in their Champions League Group F clash here at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium on Wednesday.

The 27-year-old Welsh professional put Madrid ahead in the 16th minute with a curled left-foot drive before an own goal by Legia's Tomasz doubled their lead just three minutes later, the Guardian reported.

In the 22nd minute of the match, midfielder Miroslav Radovic finally pulled one back for Legia Warsaw from the penalty spot.
