Cristiano Ronaldo pips Lionel Messi to top FIFA 17 ratings

Madrid [Spain], Sept.3 : Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is slightly more talented than Barcelona talisman Lionel Messi, according to the latest EA Sports FIFA ratings for this year's FIFA 17 game.

Ronaldo is rated 94--one point above his arch rival Messi, who had higher passing and dribbling statistics than his Portuguese counterpart.

The Real Madrid No.7, on the other hand, surpassed the Argentine in pace, shooting, defending and physical strength, the Marca reported.

Madrid, Aug.25 : Portugal star striker Cristiano Ronaldo, who has been out of action since injuring his knee in the successful Euro 2016 final, has vowed to return soon after stepping up training at Real Madrid's Valdebebas training base.

Posting a video of sweat-soaked running drills, the 31-year-old confirmed through his Instagram account that the recovery has been going pretty well.

"Looking good. Soon I will be back," he wrote.

Madrid, July 29 : The Indian men's hockey team suffered a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Spain in their second game of the two-match tour here in Madrid last evening.

The high-scoring encounter started off cagily as both teams started off the blocks slowly, defending deep and not looking for adventurous forays into the others half. Spain were the ones who came closest in the first quarter, with a penalty corner which was defended by India to ensure they went into the first break tied in a stalemate.

Madrid, July 22 : Spanish striker Alvaro Morata, who has joined Real Madrid after two seasons on loan with Juventus, says he is grateful to the reigning Italian champions.

Morata returned to Madrid for the next season even though Juventus director general Beppe Marotta was not too keen on letting him go. But he was powerless against the player's buy-back clause.

"I enjoyed two incredible years at Juventus, where I learnt very, very much. I can only be grateful to the club, because without them I wouldn't be here," Morata was quoted as saying by the Real Madrid website on Thursday.

Madrid, July 19 : After inspiring Portugal to their first-ever international title despite being forced off with a knee injury in the Euro 2016 final against France, Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has promised his fans that he will return stronger for the forthcoming season.

"A big hug to my fans and tell them everything is fine, I'll come back stronger. Viva Portugal," Ronaldo said in a video posted on his Instagram handle, according to Spanish newspaper Marca.
