Mirpur, Mar 07 : Star batsman Virat Kohli has heaped praise on Shikhar Dhawan after the left-hand opener came back to his prime form with a match-winning innings that guided India to their sixth Asia Cup title on Sunday.

"Shikhar is someone who always strikes the ball really well and it is just a matter of one innings for him and you can see what he can do once he gets into form," Kohli told bcci. tv.

Mirpur, March. 7 : After lifting the Asia Cup trophy without losing a single match in the tournament, India's limited-over's skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni has described the victory as 'special' and admitted that it will boost his side's confidence ahead of the upcoming World T20.

Earlier, opener Shikhar Dhawan produced a scintillating 60-run knock to guide India to their sixth Asia Cup title win defeating Bangladesh by eights wicket in the final played at the Shere-E-Bangla Stadium.

Mirpur, Mar. 05 : Team Director Ravi Shastri has expressed that he hoped to see India continue their fearless brand of cricket in the Asia Cup final here against hosts Bangladesh on Sunday.

The former all-rounder also described India's transformation into an aggressive fighting unit as 'gradual but enjoyable one'.

"Since then we are the number one team in the world in T20 cricket. It has been a gradual process but enjoyable one. Let's hope we show that kind of cricket in the final as well tomorrow," Shastri told reporters on the eve of the summit clash.

Mirpur, Mar. 05 : India's limited-overs skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni believes that Asia Cup finalists Bangladesh have improved as a side over the years, insisting that defeating a home side is always difficult.

Although India comfortably trounced the hosts by 45 runs in the opening match of the tournament, Bangladesh displayed tremendous amount of resilience as they won three successive matches to advance to the final.
