India asked to bowl first in fourth ODI against Kiwis

Ranchi [India], Oct.26 : New Zealand have finally won the toss and elected to bat first in the fourth ODI of the five-match series against the Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led India at the JSCA International Stadium Complex here on Wednesday.

As far as Playing XI is concerned, India have made one change in the squad.Dhawal Kulkarni has been called in as a replacement of Jasprit Bumrah.

Meanwhile, New Zealand have brought in three spinners--Ish Sodhi, Anton Devcich and BJ Watling -for the fourth match. Luke Ronchi and Matt Henry have been left out from the squad.

Dharamshala (Himachal Pradesh) [India], Oct. 16 : The first of the five matches in the India-New Zealand ODI series will be held in Dharamsala today.

Brimming with confidence after a clean-sweep in the Test series, Team India would obviously look forward to carry on their dominance over New Zealand in the shorter format too.

The pressure will be high on Dhoni as India need to beat New Zealand by a 4-1 margin to claim the third spot in the ICC ODI rankings.

The Kiwis are currently ranked third with 113 points while India is at fourth with 110.

New Delhi [India], Oct. 6 : The One-Day International squad for the five-match home series against New Zealand will be selected today.

The Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) said that the team will be announced by the newly-appointed selection committee after its first meeting in Delhi.

The new All-India Senior Selection Committee, led by former wicketkeeper MSK Prasad, was chosen on September 21.

New Delhi [India], Sept. 5 : The Supreme Court on Monday quashed the criminal proceedings against India's limited over skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni for allegedly portraying himself as Lord Vishnu on a magazine cover page.

A non-bailable warrant was issued against Dhoni earlier on January 9 this year by a court in Anantapur in this regard.

Social activist Jayakumar Hiremath had filed a case against him.

The case was registered against Dhoni under Section 295 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). (ANI)
