London, Mar. 11 : Liverpool produced a dominating performance as they outclassed disjointed Manchester United to take a deserving 2-0 first leg lead in the last-16 of the Europa League at Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp's side remained in possession throughout the match with Liverpool getting their first goal in the 20th minute.

Forward Daniel Sturridge scored a superb penalty to put Liverpool in lead before midfielder Roberto Firmino doubled the score in the 73rd minute.

London, Feb. 29 : Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp has admitted that his side are disappointed after going down 3-1 in penalties against Manchester City in the League Cup final but insisted that the Anfield club will soon bounce back from the defeat.

Following a 1-1 draw at half-time, Argentine goalkeeper Willy Caballero made three penalty saves before veteran midfielder Yaya Toure netted the decisive penalty to give City victory at Wembley on Sunday.

London, Feb. 26 : Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has showered praise on his side after they progressed to the last-16 of the Europa League by beating Augsburg, saying that the victory was 'well-deserved'.

Midfielder James Milner scored a penalty in the fifth minute as Liverpool claimed a 1-0 win over Augsburg in the second leg of the last-32 tie.

Describing his side as the 'better' team, Klopp said that Liverpool played a really good game and created chances to claim a deserving victory.

Johannesburg, Feb. 06 : Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has dismissed speculations that striker Daniel Sturridge could be leaving the Anfield club at the end of the season amidst public criticism of his injury record.

Sturridge made just six appearances this season before being sidelined with a hamstring injury since early December. The England striker endured fitness issues for much of his three years at Anfield, limiting his playing chances that prompted Klopp to voice out his frustration.
