Paul the Octopus predicts England will host 2018 World Cup

Paul the Octopus predicts England will host 2018 World CupLondon, Aug. 20 : Paul the Octopus, the intelligent creature who correctly predicted eight results in this year’s World Cup in South Africa, including England’s loss to Germany, has again predicted that England will win the bid to host the 2018 World Cup.

According to The Sun, Paul grabbed grub from a jar to mark yesterday''s launch of England''s 2018 World Cup Back The Bid campaign.

He backed England''s host bid from his sea-life centre in Germany.

It maybe recalled that Paul predicted that Spain would beat Holland and win World Cup 2010.

He also said that Germany would win in the third and fourth place play-off.

The psychic octopus has been bang on target as far as Germany’s results are concerned at this year’s World Cup, including the defeats against Serbia in the group stages and Spain in the semi-finals.

While facing backlash from German fans, the octopus has found fans in Spain.

Paul cost punters up to half a million quid after correctly backing Spain to beat Holland in the FIFA World Cup final.

The Weymouth-born sea creature correctly predicted eight successive victories in the tournament from his aquarium in Germany - at cumulative odds of 3,000-1.

The tentacled tipster picked his adopted country to beat Australia, Ghana, England, Argentina and Uruguay, as well as picking Serbia and Spain to beat the Germans.

Bookies now say they became the biggest suckers. (ANI)
