Pakistan outclass New Zealand by 103 runs in final T20

Pakistan outclass New Zealand by 103 runs in final T20Christchurch, Dec 30: Powered by Abdul Razzaq's all-round performance, Pakistan outclassed New Zealand by a record margin of 103 runs in the third and final Twenty20 International on Thursday.

Set a target of 184 runs at the AMI Stadium, New Zealand batsmen began with a disastrous start- losing five wickets for only 11 runs- and were all out for 80 in 15.5 overs, Geo TV reports.

Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi bagged four wickets for 14 runs and seamer Abdul Razzaq captured three for 13, while debutant fast bowler Tanveer Ahmed and left-arm spinner Abdur Rehman claimed one wicket each.

Earlier, Pakistan shrugged off the indifferent form that has dogged their New Zealand tour to reach six for 183 in a sparkling display.

With the three-match series already decided in New Zealand''s favour, Pakistan made 183 runs for six wickets after electing to bat first in the final T20 match.

Openers Ahmed Shehzad and Mohammad Hafeez went after New Zealand''s bowlers from the outset, scoring at a rate of almost 10 an over for a partnership of 81 to give Pakistan their best start of the series.

Abdul Razzaq, after being dropped by McCullum on two, went on to make 34 off 11 balls, including three sixes.

James Franklin was the best of the New Zealand bowlers, taking two for 12. (ANI)
