England is currently ranked No. 1 and they lead Pakistan by 26 rating points. If Pakistan is successful in this series then they can trim down this gap to a good extent. If Pakistan wins the series 1-0 or 2-1, they will gain six rating points and will rise to 105 points, while England will drop to 120 ratings points. Pakistan will move to 107 ratings points and England will slip to 119 ratings points if the men in green win the series 2-0, The Daily Times reports. If Pakistan manages to clean sweep the series then in that they will jump to 108 ratings points and, England will lose seven ratings points to reach 118. But if England manages to win the series 1-0 or 2-1 then both sides would stay at their current pre-series ratings. England can earn one and three points, respectively in case they win 2-0 or 3-0 in the series. India are currently positioned second in the ICC Test Championship, followed by third-ranked South Africa and fourth-ranked Australia. But there will be changes in the table when it is updated after the fourth and last Test between Australia and India in Adelaide. (ANI)
