Chennai, Jan 7 : Iconic Indian Davis Cupper Leander Paes Friday said he has signed up to act in four films on retirement.
Speaking at a function to commemorate 175 years of the Madras Christian College school where he had spent his formative years from 1986 to 1992 while training at the Britannia Amritraj Tennis Academy, Paes, however, refused to disclose any details.
"I cannot go on entertaining people with my tennis as age catches up. So I am now taking up a new career in films. I have signed up to act in four films to remain active after tennis," the 37-year old said.
Recalling his school days, Paes said: "Whatever I am now in this life, I owe it to the school and my teachers who had taught me the values in life, and also encouraged me to take to sports."(IANS)
