Melbourne, Jan 9 : Michael Clarke's girlfriend Kyly Boldy is trying to make a career as a TV presenter after she found a new fame as Australia's No. 1 cricket WAG.
As teenage cheerleader to Big W catalogue regular and men's calendar pin-up, Boldy had been familiar with the camera long before she started up with Clarke 18 months ago.
From her beginnings as the peroxide blonde Miss Indy 1999, for which she won 25,000 dollars, the 30-year-old bikini babe moved into the beauty pageant circuit for the years that followed, competing in Singapore, Germany and the United States.
In 2002, she was crowned Swimwear Model of the Year, and then Miss Adrenalin Sports Model, Miss Hawaiian Island, FHM Miss Snow Bunny and Miss Manly SeaEagle NRL, all in 2003.
But her biggest break was the steamy reality TV show `Temptation Island', on which she acted as one of the sexy singles let loose on "cheaters paradise" to test the fidelity of the competing couples.
After that she worked as a weather girl on `The Weather Channel', while appearing as a model in infomercials and magazines.
"She's chased the spotlight since (she was) quite young," News. com. au quoted a childhood acquaintance as saying.
"But she's very sweet, down to earth and fun. She's not one of those I'll-do-anything-to-be-famous types. (She's more) real than that," the friend said
Clarke started dating Boldy following his ugly engagement breakdown with Lara Bingle in 2010.
While holding a contract with Sheer Cover make-up - worth about 25,000 dollars a year - and managing her own interior design business, Bold Interiors, sources say Boldy is seeking management as she attempts to carve out a small-screen career.
Celebrity spruiker and Celebrity Apprentice contestant Max Markson said the networks would soon be knocking at Boldy's door. (ANI)
