London, Dec. 5 : Manchester United and England defender Rio Ferdinand has said that he cannot wait to tackle Manchester City next month.
Expressing his happiness over the FA Cup draw that pits Manchester United with noisy neighbours Manchester City in the third round, a repeat of last year''s semi-final, The Sun quoted Ferdinand, as saying: "Third round of the Cup Vs City. A great game to kick off this year''s FA Cup. I can''t wait."
City won last April and then smashed Alex Ferguson''s men 6-1 at Old Trafford in the league two months ago.
Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini knows it will be tough.
He now has seven games next month, including a two-legged Carling Cup semi-final against Liverpool.
