Perth, Feb 23 : Australian pacer Brett Lee is set to retire from Test cricket on the advice of England rival and close friend Andrew Flintoff.
Lee's retirement is expected to be made official Friday with ongoing injuries playing a big role in his decision-making process, the media here reported.
Fourth on the all-time list of Australia wicket-takers, behind Shane Warne, Glenn McGrath and Dennis Lillee, Lee will now choose to concentrate on his limited-overs career.
The recently retired Flintoff is reported to have taken Lee aside and convinced the injury-prone speedster to follow suit following his tough run of injuries.
The injury ravaged Lee finished his Test career with 310 wickets at an average of 30.18 from 76 Tests.
Lee's last appearance in the Test arena was in the 2008 Boxing Day clash at the MCG against South Africa.(IANS)
