Melbourne, Dec 7 : James Pattinson, the Victorian fast bowler, is most likely to take the glamour boy mantle in the Australian cricket team, which was once held by Michael Clarke.
The 21-year-old, who is single, certainly comes along at the right time, with the once-reigning team heartthrobs off the market, the Daily Telegraph reported.
After enjoying one of Australia's most publicised romances with Lara Bingle, Clarke is now ensconsed in a relationship with his ex-Miss Indy sweetheart Kyly Boldy, while one-time pin-up Shane Watson is happily married to Fox Sports's Lee Furlong.
This leaves just Mitchell Johnson, who is now also spoken for, having married his long-time sweetie Jessica Bratitch earlier this year.
Thankfully, Pattinson is attracting some female admirers on Facebook fan pages and also some attention from sponsors keen to hitch their wagon to the up-and-coming pace bowler.
According to sources, the newcomer is definitely single, drives a second-hand BMW two-door, which is said to be his "pride and joy", enjoys fishing on his boat and lives in a trendy South Yarra pad that he shares with fellow cricketer Will Sheridan. (ANI)
