I have a lot more cricket left in me: Haddin

I have a lot more cricket left in me: HaddinMelbourne, Dec 28 - Australia's Test vice-captain and wicketkeeper Brad Haddin believes that his place in the team is not under threat despite his unimpressive performance in the ongoing first Test against India at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

Haddin made 27 off 70 balls in Australia's first innings total of 333 runs and in the second innings could get only six. The 34-year-old also dropped opener Virender Sehwag from a regulation edge off paceman James Pattinson.

Haddin believes that he still has a lot left in him to deliver.

"I have a lot more cricket left in me. I think everyone at this level is trying to improve all the time and I am no different. When you stop trying to be a better cricketer it is time you give it away," he said.

"I haven't listened to too much of the criticism," Haddin was quoted as saying in the Australian media Wednesday.

"I was just batting for the situation. There was some good bowling late in the day on Monday and I didn't want to take any risks. It was important for us to get through that first hour today which I would like to have done and have a little more freedom after that but it wasn't the case," he said.  (IANS)
