Hamilton warns fans against expectation of back-to-back wins at European GP

Hamilton warns fans against expectation of back-to-back wins at European GPLondon, June 23 : McLaren's ace driver Lewis Hamilton has said the odds on back-to-back victories in Valencia on Sunday are not good following a troubled Friday practice.

Hamilton, who leads the championship after romping to an epic triumph a fortnight ago at the Canadian Grand Prix, was the14th quickest at the end of the first day's action here for the European Grand Prix.

The former champion was confident he could reverse his fortunes for Saturday qualifying around the port track, but also admitted it would be tough to win.

"I'd give someone very good odds. It's going to be a tough one for us. I didn't have a very good day today. It was a bit of a struggle really. I had a lot of locking and flat-spotted almost every set of tyres I've got," The Daily Mirror quoted Hamilton, as saying.

"I tried a couple of different things with my tyres and it didn't work. But I'm confident I can make changes to get me back in a good position tomorrow. On my side we were having a lot of problems. But we will fix it for tomorrow and be fine," he added.

"You can't always get it right. Today's been one of those days. I think I know what the problem is and it'll get sorted overnight," he said. (ANI)
