Flower challenges England’s ODI squad to match Test, T20 side

Flower challenges England’s ODI squad to match Test, T20 side London, Oct 25 : Coach Andy Flower has challenged the Alastair Cook-led England ODI squad to avoid the embarrassment of a 5-0 thrashing at the hands of India and to match his Test and T20 sides and to top the ICC rankings.

England currently tops the tables in two of the game’s three formats, but an abject performance here, sustaining four heavy losses against India, has left them fifth in the ODI rankings.

Flower is demanding improvement as the team build for the next World Cup, saying: “Unfortunately the result of this series is already in the past, but now, it is a case of trying to learn as much as we can as a side and develop.

“There are various areas we can improve - we’re all well aware of that - but we have to start building now towards the World Cup,” The Daily Express quoted him, as saying. (ANI)
