Fifth edition of IPL scheduled from April 4

New Delhi, June 27 : The fifth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has been scheduled to start April 4, 2012.
The tournament will conclude May 27 and will feature 74 matches in 54 days.
"We are happy to confirm the opening and closing dates of IPL 2012. The match-schedule will be announced soon," IPL Chairman Chirayu Amin said.
"We have no doubt that the fifth season of IPL will be eventful and exciting."
In the fourth season earlier this year, Chennai Super Kings retained the IPL title in April beating Royal Challengers Bangalore.(IANS)
