Ferrari dominate first training for Belgium GP

Spa-Francorchamps, BelgiumĀ  - Ferrari dominated the first free practice Friday for Sunday's Formula One Belgium Grand Prix, with Felipe Massa fastest ahead of team-mate Kimi Raikkonen.

Massa posted a fastest lap of 1 minute 47.284 seconds, edging Raikkonen by 0.339 seconds.

Overall leader Lewis Hamilton of McLaren-Mercedes was third fastest, 0.594 seconds behind.

A second session will be held later in the day before Saturday's qualifying to determine grid positions.

Hamilton has 70 points in the standings, six points ahead of Massa and 13 ahead of Raikkonen. (dpa)
