Dhoni wants Lankan tour to start on ''winning note''

Chennai, July 17 : Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni on Tuesday said he would like the to start the series against Sri Lanka on a winning note.
"Its not about what we have done in the past. We will be playing at different venues. We have to travel in between the series also. I think it''s important to be at our best. It''s a start of the season for us. So, definitely we want to start it on a good note and that''s what we are looking at," Dhoni told the media in Chennai after the end of the two-day camp here ahead of the Sri Lanka tour.
Dhoni further said that only a good team could be successful, and not the skipper alone.
"The captain channelises the resources. But, at the end of the day, the responsibility lands on the shoulder of the player, who is being given the chance to bowl or bat and build up partnerships. It depends on how individuals react. If you don''t have a good team, then it is very difficult to be successful," he added.
Coach Duncan Fletcher said the morale of the team was high, and expressed confidence that India would perform exceptionally well in the upcoming tours.
The 15-member Indian team departs for Sri Lanka on Wednesday to play in a five-match ODI series followed by a Twenty20 International against Sri Lanka. (ANI)
