London, Feb. 14 : Star striker Frank Lampard has said that Chelsea is a club in crisis under Andre Villas-Boas.
Speaking after the club's two nil loss to Everton on Saturday, Lampard said: "We know we are in a bad way and we have to dig ourselves out of it. We have been fighting to win leagues. Now, we are fighting for fourth and that hurts."
"When you go to Everton, the one thing you know they''re going to do is fight you, press you and make things tough and we didn''t react," The Sun quoted him, as adding.
Lampard said: "We can only take that on the chin and apologise to the people who came up to watch because that''s not good enough for Chelsea."
Lampard, who has won three titles in just over a decade at Stamford Bridge, admits the squad is as much to blame as the seventh manager of his time at Chelsea. (ANI)
