London, May 7 : David Beckham has for the first time topped Britain's list of the richest people in sport after netting a total wealth of 160 million pounds.
The LA Galaxy and former England football star moved up from last year's second place after earning 25 million dollars, the Daily Express reported.
The 37-year-old has a 4 million pounds annual salary, which makes him the highest paid player in America's Major League Soccer, along with making another 21million pounds in endorsement fees.
Beckham has deals with brands like Adidas, Samsung, Sainsbury's, perfume-maker Coty and H ''n'' M - whose underwear he models.

Hamilton, 27, is ninth with 55 million pounds, just ahead of Button, 32, who is worth 53million pounds.
Manchester United star Wayne Rooney, 26, is 16th with 45 million pounds, while golfer Rory McIlroy, 23, has made it to the list for the first time in 91st place, with 11 million pounds. (ANI)
