Becks boosts teen footie fan’s recovery

Becks boosts teen footie fan’s recovery

London, July 17 : David Beckham has given the perfect tonic to a young footie fan who has been battling a chronic eating disorder.
A chance remark from a coach telling him to lose weight led to 16-year-old Will Kitching crash-dieting to 6st.
His dad Gary, 50, wrote to the LA Galaxy star, 37, asking if he would meet his son to help his recovery.
Beckham invited Will to meet him and his team-mates as a birthday treat. The lad is now on the mend and is a healthy eight stone, the Daily Star reported.
After a pep talk, Beckham posed for pictures with Kitching and autographed his gold-coloured boots.
Kitching, of Maltby, near Rotherham, South Yorkshire, who has joined Sheffield United’s junior squad, said: “It was a birthday I will never forget.’’
Beckham has helped several sick children and was really moved by the courage of Kirsty Howard, now 16, who was born with nine heart defects. (ANI)
