Kingston (Jamaica), June 15 : West Indies opener Adrian Barath and fast bowler Ravi Rampaul have been recalled for the fifth and final One-day International (ODI) against India Thursday, with Chris Gayle once again being a notable omission.
Barath has recovered from the hamstring injury he suffered during the World Cup and replaces Kirk Edwards in the squad. All-rounder Danza Hyatt makes way for Rampaul, who was rested.
"Danza Hyatt and Kirk Edwards have been replaced in the squad by Ravi Rampaul and Adrian Barath," the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) said in a statement.
Gayle, who was ignored by the selectors for the first four ODIs because of his comments in a radio interview, was overlooked yet again. He is supposed to meet WICB officials Wednesday to resolve the issue.
West Indies registered a consolation win over India in the fourth ODI after losing the first three games.
