New Delhi, Aug 6 : Congratulations began to pour in for M. C. Marykom minutes after she secured a semi final berth, and an Olympic medal, here on Monday.
Leading the way was Sports Minister Ajay Maken who tweeted " In Punjabi we will say for Mary Kom ''Badi Dadhi Kudi Hai'' :))," soon after the five-time world champion demolished her Tunisian challenger Maroua Rahela 15-6.
Meanwhile captain of Indian cricket team Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Shooter Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore have also congratulated the pugilist on her achievement, television reports suggest.
The win ensured her a Bronze to the very least, making it India's best ever Olympics.
India has already won three medals- one Silver and two Bronze- in the current edition of the Olympics.
She will square up for semis clash on Wednesday. (ANI)
