Guangzhou, Nov 19 : Bajrang Lal Takhar became the first Indian rower to win a gold medal in the Asian Games after he triumphed in the men's single sculls event here Friday.
Takhar clocked 7:04.78 seconds to win the second gold for India in the Asian Games. The silver went to Chinese Taipei's Ming Hui Wang (7:07.33 secs) while Iraq's Haeider Hamarsheied (7:10.10 secs) settled for the bronze.(IANS)
