London, July 16: Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has been targeted with vile abuses by Chelsea fans on the official website of the Blues over the Ashley Cole tweet, and surprisingly no action has been taken against these fans till now.
Angry Blues fans are getting away with uncensored attacks on the message board, calling the ace defender a `cretin', `dim t**t' and a `disgrace' on the official Chelsea site
Ferdinand has been targeted for supporting his brother Anton in the race case with John Terry, and for slamming Ashley Cole on Twitter, which could lead to a FA charge.
"The posts have been going on all weekend and it's strange no one has been doing anything to stop it," The Sun quoted Anti-racism campaigner Luther Blissett, as saying.
"Your official website is supposed to reflect on what the club are thinking so people could think it's the view of the club," he added.
Professional Football Association chairman Clarke Carlisle added: "You'd expect it to be moderated but even a moderated site can't quell free speech."
Ferdinand endorsed a message from a friend branding Cole a `choc ice' after he backed Chelsea teammate Terry in court. But he insisted it was not racist and was a term for someone being fake. (ANI)
