Karan Johar’s Agneepath seems to be one of the most talked about Bollywood films these days.

With Abhishek Bachchan all set to step into his father’s big shoes to play the iconic character of Vijay Dinanath Chauhan, question looms large over the question that who will be signed to play the role of likeable Krishnan Iyer MA (played by Mithun Chakraborty in the original).

As per some reports in media, Abhi’s good pal, Riteish Deshmukh is all set to step into Chakraborty's shoes.

Confirming the development, an industry insider revealed: “Riteish Deshmukh is more or less finalized to play the part made famous by Mithun Chakraborty in the Agneepath remake which Karan Johar intends to produce under his banner. Both Riteish and Abhishek share great chemistry which was evident in Bluffmaster and one just hopes the same magic is recreated.”

It may be recalled here that Agneepath, one of the big super-hits of 90’s, was produced by Karan’s late father Yash Johar. The film had helped Amitabh Bachchan to bag a National Award. Moreover, Mithun had also won a Filmfare Award in the Best Supporting Actor category for this film.

We hope that the duo of Abhishek Bachchan and Riteish Deshmukh will recreate history at the BO.
