One Vienna gurdwara attack suspect releasedVienna, June 6 : One of the six suspects involved in the violent attack on a gurdwara in Vienna has been released.

According to sources, he was released due to lack of evidence.

Three other suspects, including the alleged mastermind of the attack, will remain in custody while a decision would be taken next week on the two other suspects, police said.

According to the police, the suspects were illegal immigrants, including S Charnjit (24) from Uttar Pradesh and S Hardeep (33).

S Sukhwinder (28) from Haryana came to Vienna in 2001 and had sought asylum citing a family feud for fleeing India while S Jaspal (34) came in 2008 and requested asylum on religious grounds.

The other two suspects, S Satwinder (28) from Uttar Pradesh and S Tarsum (45) from Gujarat had made only vague asylum claims.

Meanwhile, Dera Sachkhand leader Sant Rama Nand, who was killed in an attack, was cremated in India with full state honours on Thursday. (ANI)
