Madrid  - European champions Barcelona announced on Monday that teenage striker Bojan Krkic will miss the upcoming Under-20 World Cup, to be staged in Egypt between September 24 and October 16.

Bojan, 19, tore the abductor muscle in his left thigh two weeks ago whilst playing for barca against Sporting Gijon. He will be out of action for another two to three weeks.

He was going to lead the Spanish attack in Egypt but will now stay in Barcelona in order to recover from the injury.  dpa
