It purchased Norway's automated handling solutions developer ODIM ASA, defense power technologies' company Rolls-Royce said on Monday.
It will integrate ODIM's Canadian sensor handling technologies development units Spectrum Ltd. and Brooke Ocean Ltd. units into its naval marine operations in a move to strengthen its market presence, Rolls-Royce has said.
Rolls-Royce Naval President Andy Marsh said in a statement, "Integrating the innovative technology and portfolio of naval undersea sensor handling systems and equipment … will enable us to provide our customers with an even wider range of products and services in this important market segment."
It was further reported that ODIM is also a developer of offshore oil and gas and civil nuclear markets automated handling solutions. (With Inputs from Agencies)
