Unlike most movies released these days, this movie delivers what it promises, entertainment. Wake Up Sid is based on life of a spoiled rich guy coming face to face with realities of life.

The simplicity of theme doesn't take away the charm of the movie. Everything from good direction to flawless acting of star cast make it a must watch movie.

Debutant director Ayan Mukerji's has paid attention to even minute details in the movie. The script of the movie, written by the director himself, gives new outlook to a common theme.

Ranbir Kapoor( Sidharth Mehra) and Konkona Sen Sharma( Aisha Banerjee) have breathed life into their characters. The contrast between the independent heroine and spoilt hero gives an interesting outlook to their platonic relationship.

Ranbir Kapoor has given superb performance as a great buddy to his friends and spoilt brat without any ambition. He loves to hang out with his friends without any urge to grow.

Konkona Sen has again done a great job, as independent girl who knows how to live independently. Life of Sid changes when he starts living with Konkona. There is tenderness and subtle romance in their relationship rather than series of liplocks.
