Michael Douglas’s son sentenced five year in jail
Michael Douglas and Diandra Luker's son Cameron Douglas has been put on five year imprisonment for dealing methamphetamine and possessing heroin in January last year.
Both Michael Douglas and his ex-wife Luker were present in Tuesday's hearing.
Cameron pleaded guilty to the charges and publicly apologized to his "family and loved ones".
Federal judge Richard Berman did not overlook the two dozen of letters written on his behalf including letters from his father, mother, step mother Catherine Zeta-Jones and grand father Kirk Douglas.
The father requested leniency for his son while Zeta Jones called him caring, considerate and worthy human being.
In the Letter to the judge, the Oscar winning actor said that he loves his son, but he is blind to his actions. He added that his son is adult and he is responsible for his actions. He did not forget to mention that he was mostly absent during Cameron's upbringing and wrote "Cameron grew up in a bad marriage".
