Washington, May 5 : Actor Matthew McConaughey nearly escaped having a nasty memory after a ram threatened to charge at him and his 10-month-old son during a family holiday in Arizona.

The Wedding Planner star ducked behind a bush while holding on to little Levi when the wild beast started kicking up dust in their direction.

But the 39-year-old confessed the scare turned funny after he realised the animal was only headed to be with a female ram.

"I''m holding eyes with this ram getting up real steady.... I need something to get behind in case he charges," Contactmusic quoted him as saying.

"I ended up snugging up behind this briar patch... I sat there for about a 15-second stand-off.

"Then he popped up over the other side of the cliff. Four lady rams were on the other side," he added. (ANI)
