Little Girl with Cancer Celebrates 5th Birthday in Lavish Manner
An Oregon girl who has been suffering from cancer had a blast on her fifth birthday. Her parents have organized her fifth birthday party as an event that has been designed to be a prom, wedding and birthday.
Doctors shared with Lila May Schow's parents that they have almost tried every treatment option, but no success has been achieved. It was then that her parents decided to make it a large event for their princess.
Lila’s father Ryan Schow shared that his daughter was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma, a cancer in which malignant cells form in certain types of nerve tissue, when she was two years old. Since her diagnosis, Ryan said that his daughter has passed through very tough treatments.
She is quite a brave child. Ryan affirmed, “She’s been fighting ever since. It’s been 3 years, well over nine surgeries...numerous chemo-therapies”.
Both of them, he and Lilia’s mother decided to have a big celebration on Lila’s birthday on July 31. Lilia’s mother posted on Facebook about the party and they were surprised to see hundreds of responses.
The party’s theme was Cinderella, as Lila loves princesses. Ryan said that suiting the theme, they had special bakers who also appear on the Food Channel. Lila entered into her party in a donated horse and carriage.
On the birthday, hundreds of people showed up to give their blessing to Lila. They also did father and daughter dance, which was the favorite part of the party for Lila.
